Hamasen, the EcoMobility World Festival district

Hamaxing or also known as Hamasen will be the host neighborhood of the third EcoMobility World Festival next October 2017. The city is preparing in advance to accommodate this exciting event that will close the neighborhood to private cars and accommodate more environmentally but also people friendly ways of moving around the city.

The neighborhood is located in the historical urban area of the Kaohsiung City and was once the center for politics, fishery and economy. There are two railways which passed through this coastal area and gave it the importance it remains today. The area is also connected with Ferries to other areas of the city and there is a pedestrian and cycling tunnel that connects to another part of the city.

Hamaxing is engaging its citizens to the Festival since the beginning of this year, providing community meetings and gatherings.
